Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Bethlehem Parma (LCMS) website collects, how we use it, and your choices.
Information you give us
Prayer requests. When you submit a prayer request, we collect what you enter, which may include:
- your prayer request
- optionally, your name, email, and phone number
- whether you would like someone to contact you, and how you prefer to be reached
- how you would like the request shared
How prayer requests are shared
We use your prayer request to pray for you and, if you ask, to have someone follow up. We share it only as you choose when you submit it: kept private to the pastor and office, shared with the Bethlehem Prayer Team, and/or included on the Prayer List in the worship folder.
Administrator sign-in
Church staff sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address, and we store that email to manage access. The public does not create accounts, and we do not ask visitors for passwords.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, general location, and the type of device. This uses cookies. You can opt out using your browser settings, and the site works the same either way. Our hosting also keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.
Donations
Online giving is handled by PayPal. We do not collect or store your card or bank details; PayPal processes those under its own privacy policy.
How we use information
We use the information you provide to carry out the ministry you have asked for, such as prayer and follow-up, and to operate, improve, and secure the site. We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
Prayer requests are shared only as you select when you submit them. We rely on trusted service providers to run the site, such as website hosting, email delivery, and analytics, and they may process information on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose you provided it, or as otherwise required. You may ask us to update or delete your information at any time by contacting the office.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy by posting a new version here with an updated date.
